Most games will at least launch and function even well below minimum specs (some exceptions exist of course) but keep in mind that what they give for low is typically what it takes to run 720p 30fps on min graphics, and recommended is generally 1080p 60fps reasonable graphics.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

You can run it on low at like 30 fps

You might just be okay, I've run on lower than the 'minimum' specs before.

The system requirements raise some questions... why are GTX 550 Ti and HD 7870 listed on the same tier when the HD 7870 is probably twice as powerful as a 550 Ti... is the game completely Nvidia biased and run terribly on AMD cards or was it a typo and supposed to be 7770, or perhaps 560 Ti?

Secondly... when they say i5-2300 or better does that just mean in performance or architecturally too? Is the game going to require four cores, or would a high performance i3 like an i3-4150 run the game?

Yeah, any time a game has recommended specs this high it is a little suspicious.  Really, it should be designed so that minimum to play is something pretty comfortable that anyone should be fine with by now... say a GTX 470 or something, recommended should be something middle ground but current - say a 770 or 960 (approx), and I really wish they would say what you need to max out the graphics (at some specified res @ fps of course) and it would be reasonable to demand the best or close to it for that scenario (980 or something), but when you're basically recommending top tier parts, it alienates a lot of the market.

These requirements are BS. Look at the recommended CPU. I JUST bought a 4690k because EVERYONE said it was all you needed to game. Now I have to worry I won't be able to have upper settings. But the AMD CPU listed is never advised here.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

to be honest i was thinking the same thing, i hope it is just a typo and not poor optimization because i am a amd fanboy :|

Unless they completely broke the engine or made the game look better than Crysis, you'll be able to run it fine. If you can do Skyrim with an ENB and some texture mods you'll probably be alright

LTT's fastest Valley 970, slowest Valley Basic and Extreme HD scores

Desktop || CPU - i5 4690k || Motherboard - ASUS Gryphon Z97 || RAM - 16GB Kingston HyperX 1866MHz || GPU - Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 *Cough* 3.5GB || Case - Fractal Design Define R5 || HDD - Seagate Barracuda 160GB || PSU - Corsair AX760
