Looking for a $200 USD laptop for my little bro

I want to get my little brother a laptop that has these specs or higher as he needs to use it at school on his desk and at home on the couch. He only wants to play minecraft at like 30+ fps

 

have a 13" display or higher

be reasonably thin

have at least 2 usb ports

it has 2 usb ports tho

Used all the way. At that price point, new will be tough (people mentioned the Stream already), unless you're going for a Chromebook. Really shop around ebay or craigslist and see what you can find for that price. Also consider going FreeDOS and/or Linux.

get a t420 think pad refurb on new egg for 250$. i own one and its amazing. i can minecraft at 40 ish fps. the only things i need to say are 

you need to replace the rough track pad with a smooth one. fixes tracking and scrolling issues (or use a mouse)

add an ssd (disk drive need to be replaced.) 

posably upgrade the screen the screen color is aweful but there are a few hacks to upgrade it.

ram needs to be upgraded to 8 gigs

 

its a good diy laptop.
