PSA About steam family sharing...

So I family shared my account with a friend of mine so he could play GTA and ARK... He also downloaded CSGO, I was okay with this since I wanted to play with him. We played on some random comp server since he couldn't play in normal Comp (Nor was he rank 3) and he was horrible... The next day I play with him and he's out fragging me (I'm LE)... Fast forward a few weeks and I log ontoday to see that i'm VAC banned... I text him and he says that he hacked to be good because "They where hacking too"... Now I got a VAC ban on my main. Ripidip skins.\

 

 

Yes, I accept that it was my fault for family sharing with him in the first place.

 

TL;DR Don't family share with people, unless you fully trust them because they could fuck you over and get you VAC banned.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

I was doing really bad that game, he had been only playing it, and he was good at Battle Field so I thought he just learned fast.

I'm pretty sure they used a free cheat... They didn't want to buy the game to begin with so why would they buy a hack when their are plenty of free ones to use... He didn't invest in it so he had nothing to be afraid of...

I'm pretty sure they used a free cheat... They didn't want to buy the game to begin with so why would they buy a hack when their are plenty of free ones to use... He didn't invest in it so he had nothing to be afraid of...

im saying you could have bought the game for your friend on his own account for less than 20 bucks

It's worth a shot contacting steam support, explaining what happened and checking if they are willing to transfer the VAC ban to his account.

Yeah, you can't play CSGO with him if he's using your CSGO. I family share with my brother and When I start up any game, it only gives him a few minutes to stop doing what he is doing to save, before the game closes.

No, a shared library may only be accessed by one user at a time.

Sounds like it, I know I'm not as good as some of the players on TF2 or CSGO, but I would never cheat in them. Just play them for fun anyway and always surprised when I get like a really good score in them.
