Best Over-Ear headphones for $100

Vicente Gomez

Also neither have a detachable cable. :P

The M40x may be the best option in this situation. Too bad the CHC Silverados are pretty much extinct... If you don't mind not having fold-ability I would suggest the NVX XPT100s. I have taken them into work with me several times before.

EDIT: You can usually find SoundMAGIC HP150's used for $100-$120.

butthe case for the nvx is massive

hue.

ATH M40X. Foldable, detachable, portable.

I thought the M40X had a permanently attached cable? I thought that was the only real benefit that the M50X had over the M40X...

Get the ATH-M40x. Foldable, multiple included cables, and well regarded at its price point.

Huh, well then there is literally no reason to buy the M50X... Hue.

I kinda want to buy a pair though, specifically so I can write a review about how they are nothing special... Maybe I'll do that, and then return them... hmmmmmmm

Precisely. Now you know why I hate them so much.
