Not how it works. You maintain equality, but when equality is not there it must be gained. I'm a feminist, I'm also a married man.

Edit* oops, thought you said "shouldn't", my bad

So to you the issue is too masculine society? Note that conditions for equality are close to zero, so in the end it doesn't really mean anything.

So few women have to take their husbands name when they marry? Or have to choose between a career and being a parent? Or deal with disproportionate pay when compared to their male counterparts? Or don't have religion telling them what to do with their own body? That's in a industrialized nation and I could keep going. There is no equality, only a reason to seek it.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Actually you do if you look for one. I could name few sociologists, but they're Finns. And what comes for my misunderstanding, you haven't really said anything.

Also people studying masculinity are rare. I can only recall one name. Rob Willer. Why is it that women are so much more complicated that they need to be studied, when men are self-evident. Men cause most problems and yet they get studied behind bars.

So women have choices?  You obviously haven't got the memo. Women actually choose families over their careers.

And I'm not going into Marxism, tnx for asking.

Yes, we all have choices no matter what the situation is. We might not like the choices but they are still there. My wife's PhD is on the child free movement, we don't have any kids. That doesn't remove the disparity between the sexes and their opportunities based on their sex. It's call feminism because that's the group in need.

And where did you get Marxism from? LOL

You think it's funny? I got it from critique of capitalistic values (or should I say infused by capitalism). And those are masculine values to the extend that potlatch was banned due to it's barbarism. You know where it originated? Naked men making stuff to give away  so that they could swing their dicks in winter doing the same stupid shit as always.

Your wife's achievements do not show on my account nor does in yours, so maybe I should talk with your wife.

Feminism is a MASSIVE controversial topic. Why? Because you have the NORMAL feminist that belives men should be equal to women, and then you have the FEMINAZIS that SAY men should be equal to women, but then rely on their double standards to get away with certain things. For example, women can hit men, but it's wrong for men to hit a women in SELF DEFENSE. Or when the men are EXPECTED to pay for the first date because it's "traditional".

What are your thoughts on this? Personally, I believe that every feminist has at least one double standard. Now, I may be wrong on that, but from what I've seen, that statement is correct.

Are you trollin'?

Anyone on social media knows this is a huge flaming topic.

EDIT: Moving to thread: (this is a double thread)

<Please read as if I am speaking in a normal conversational tone>

Feminism is just another form of Socialism, this is hidden under the pretense of being women's rights (Be mindful there is a very distinct difference from Feminism and Women's Rights). Women's right movement did what it as supposed to do and succeeded, feminism took over and uses that pretense to push along its agenda. I do support women's right but not feminism. <-- I have been called many things for making this statement.

Extreme Feminism is way to destroy the family dynamic in a strong attempt to get women to take on roles that are (this is not meant to a biased or contentious comment) not made for women interaction. The female body is not the same a male. Women are designed for certain tasking as is the same as men. Men are structurally made to perform labor intensive tasks, women are structural designed to have children. Women in the military? wont go there here.

No I Am Not saying men cant raise children. I help my wife with ours and my wife stays home, this was decided before being married and we both agreed that whomever had the higher paying job works, but we have had 4 in the 8 yrs together so she doesn't work atm.

Feminism has changed the family dynamic so much that more children are in Daycare instead of at home with the parents were they belong to be raised properly.

Feminism is wrong in any way, shape, form or fashion.

Trikstari's posted video is spot on.

4.3 Thread Necroing

Thread necroing consists of reviving a previously resolved, settled, or "dead" thread after a prolonged period of time by the OP with the intention of bumping the thread to the top of the board. Threads with an activity gap of 1 month or greater that are brought back to the front page is considered "thread necroing". A shorter duration may be considered when dealing with situations like previously resolved threads being reposted or simply for the purpose of bumping it to the front page. Build logs are exempt from this rule.

I can name two. Women have a right to say no to a child birth, but the man does not, and can be forced into paying child support. Also, historically women have had the ability to choose not to go to war, men were often enforced (although I suppose there's sexism towards women in there as well).

Yes, but the man can go to court to have him closed out of the relationship towards the child making it a bastard.

That's only towards certain men not all men.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, could you tell me more? I've legitimately never heard of that, and I can't seem to find anything about it online.

I excluded Marxism cuz your values are obviously bourgeois. You measure women's inequality by income, when I'm not certain that 20% hysteresis is unreasonable by default, considering differences in men and women.

Actually, for anyone wondering, I created this thread to hear other peoples thoughts on feminism. I don't really care if you agree with me or not, I'm just saying that if you're a true feminist that doesn't go ranting and causing chaos and pretending that all women are damsels in distress, then that's good, you're one of the smarter feminists. Now if you do that, well then you're not actually a feminist. You call yourself that to give yourself an excuse to cause chaos.

You are right, but what I meant was is there a right that men have that women don't and the answer is no.  Women, as you can see have more rights than men and they are fighting for equality xD give me a break, they are more than equal now.

As I say in all of these threads, I very much support equality between the genders. However with the way things are today, this means I am not a feminist.

Feminism is the idea of moving toward gender equality by focusing solely on the issues of one gender, therefore fundamentally flawed.
