I'm trying to build my computer and I am up to plugging in cables. Is there a video on youtube that is extremely detailed and can tell me where all the cables go? Or if possible, can one of you guys tell me? I am using a Raidmax viper GX case with a MSI 970 gaming AM3+ Amd motherboard.

Look real good at the case and the place where the mb connectors are, then think(yes, use your brain. I know, scary stuff) real good on where the shortest and most hidden cable routes are.

If you want to join a really cool Discord chatroom with some great guys here from LTT and outside this community then PM me!

For cable management the extra molex cables, for instance, can usually be ziptied into unused areas behind the motherboard tray or if you have a case with good clearance behind the tray, you can sometimes stuff them under where the side panels connect to the chassis.

For a case with lousy cable management (e.g., my old Antec GX500) I liked to ziptie things to the interior of my 5.25" bays, since outside of a single DVD writer the bays were unpopulated.

It always frustrates me when you see people post build videos and they show most steps and then cut out the most difficult: cable management.

For general cable routing early on in the build, check Carey Holzman's build videos. He does the build very slowly and with great commentary explaining why he routes a cable through a certain hole and so on. But he does edit out the final cable management in all the videos of his I have seen.

Look at the motherboard manual, it will tell you exactly where to plug it in. Also check out your case manual too, it should tell you want each of the wires does. As for cable management, just find the best spot to hide them. Cable management is a art, so everyone does it differently.
