Would this be a good PSU?

ArcaneNinja

Hi,

I'm currently looking at this PSU:

http://www.ebuyer.com/630112-evga-supernova-750w-fully-modular-80-gold-power-supply-220-g2-0750-xr

Would this be a good PSU for a dual SLI setup (GTX 980) and a potential Skylake upgrade in the future?

(changing my GPU after the poor experience with the R9 390. coil whine + DirectX crashes = no thanks)

Looking for something that is future proof / high quality. Not going to make the mistake of ordering a CX series again!

Here are my specs at the moment:

  • Intel Core i5 2500K - Sandy Bridge
  • HyperX Beast 8GB RAM
  • XFX 6950 2GB
  • 250GB Crucial SSD
  • 500GB WD Blue
  • 1TB WD Red
  • Creative Sound Audigy Fx - Sound Card
  • Corsair AF140 Fans (x2)
  • Fractal Silent 140 Fans (x2)
  • Noctua Performance Fans (x2) - can't remember the model

Cheers!

Also to add on, I got a G2 PSU (850W) thing feels like an iron fist.

Sounds like a good choice then, heh! :) Thankyou all for the replies. I can probably go for the 850W version too, so I should be covered!
