Ordered my stuffs on newegg on the 18th, items was shipped from 2 different location. One of my items was just sitting there from the 18th to the 23rd, not moving at all, with no update status, until I called to asked

what's going on. Newegg can't provide any reason why it's not moving and just read whatever that it says on the tracking site, "in transit". Yes I see it says "in transit" but why are there no status updates, which is the reason I've called in the first place, to see if they can help me out. Next day checked again and finally it showed a update status and said should be delieverd friday 9/25th. So today is 9/25th. One of my package came in, but the other one didn't. Checked out tracking status and says "delievered". Problem is I don't have it and have no idea where the delievery personal send it too. Called up newegg for a lost shipping claim. Say will take another 7-10 business days to file it. Told them to make it snappy and say about 3 business days. Now I'll have to wait probably another week until (not counting weekends), until they will send out a replacment item for my lost package. :mellow:

Telling someone in retail to "make it snappy" is a good way to "lose" your order for good. Newegg has little more case by case access to USPS/UPS/Fedex than most people do with a phone call and a tracking number. Give it a few more days. If you are in the northeastern United States I know packages were rerouted for something to do with the pope's visit.

That's the number 1 reason I buy from Amazon, my packages always get delivered by UPS and not FedEx. If I buy from NewEgg my stuff is either late, or damaged. UPS is always on time and delivers around 3 o'clock which is when I've been home from school for about 30 minutes, where as FedEx delivers around 6-7 which is much less convenient.

I don't like the fact that NewEgg started relying heavily on Ontrac as their shipping service, they suck. But I ordered some PC fans from Amazon prime on the 23rd and a WD 4TB black from Newegg also on the 23rd and they both got here today at around 2pm. I can't complain.

For me ontrac is faster and more reliable than ups or fedex. They deliver in the afternoon instead of the morning but its usually a day or two earlier.

The lost item was shipped out via UPS. At the very end they UPS transfered it to USPS, who did the final leg of the delievery. Got my first package and 2nd package that's lost was "delievered" 10 minutes apart from my first one. Also it's a commercial place none of the stores on that entire block (at least I know) has a mail box, but status says "in mail box". So the mail man has send my package into the abyss. :lol: :(-_-

As for contacting newegg, saying make it snappy, is inpolite. So I said it in a more polite way. They say it's 7-10 business to process a lost claim. Told them would really appreiate it, if they can process it faster. They say I can order it again after 3 business days, then e-mail them my invoice and they will deduct it and something, something. IMO sound mad confusing plus more work for the representative who's helping me out. Told them I'll wait the 7-10 business days, since that option was more of a hassle and more work. So in the end, they expedited my lost claim down to 3 business days. :D

@Rune

If it was retail, I'll just get the stuff myself, pay at the cashier and leave.

I consider retail support to be included, but ymmv. I'm happy they got the situation sorted out for you.

Yeah and one lucky person probably has my lost item. Probably can't even use it unless the shell out a good portion of their savings just to use it.

Wait,What Was Your "Item" And Was It Exspensive

16GB G.Skill Trident Z DDR4. Thus why I said who ever had it must spend a lot more just to use it. Hopefully they're not too dumb, jammed it to their current ddr3 build, frying the ram and killing their entire system along with it. Expensive? Yes it's expensive.

And it's not the first time it has happened. Happened a while back, when I was doing my Haswell build. The package had all of a sudden be routed to a unknown home address, Luckily I've keep a constant check on it, called and they fixed the error. If not, then who ever lives there will receive a box of computer parts for a entire build, minus the case. It had a Xeon E3 1225 v3 cpu, 8GB G.Skill DDR3, Asus Z87i Deluxe mother board, WD Blue 1TB HDD, Cooler Master 500w psu, LG BDXL burner, AMD Radeon 7750GPU with 2GB vram, and retail version of Windows 8 Home Edition.
