Few tips for the big day?

An angry badger

What I say to everyone starting off

Take all your clothes off and avoid carpet and constantly ground your self when building your PC

Also is it too late to cancel the parts? an I3/i5 and a 270/280 would be much better

Unless this isn't for gaming

If this is for your casual grandma/technologically stupid parent then sure.

This'll be good for 1080 gaming. It's not bad, but not very good either. (Hey, at least he didn't get a CX PSU and left out SSD :P)

But the mobo....

I haven't ordered the parts yet, would you suggest a different mobo?

It depends

If this is a gaming oriented build I would definitely switch over to Intel(it really isn't expensive) but if this is some kind of budget workstation and you need the CPU you'll have to go for a full size ATX build because any MATX mobo available for AMD can't handle that CPU

Thanks, would it be a bad idea to use a GTX 960 instead?

It's just not a good value GPU and the 380 is better
