GPU bending?

Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

Temps are normal.

The bending is often called graphics card "sag". Most of the time it is harmless, but it can cause some physical damage in some situations, so it's normally a good idea to try to support the card in some way (such as zip ties, like you've done). The G1's cooler is pretty heavy, so it's common for them to sag.

Bended? You have a picture?

73 degrees is not a killer temperature, as for temperatures you should be worrying around 80-90C

as for the bending you should really try to find something more definite as a zip-tie chain although the idea is good.

Computer's don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose.

My 980 g1 gaming sags like crazy. I haven't been bothered to mess with it.

My typical load temp is around low 60s but it's gotten up to 70 before.

Sagging aside I love the card so far.

My 970 Windforce 3X sags horribly and the heatsink has started to cave in on itself. I thought a backplate might help mine but I doubt it at this stage.

Probably build a retainer bracket at work for my case. Or just add it to my loop.

is it bended at the PCI contact?

If yes, don't you have screws holding the card with case?
