you sure about that

Yes, the performance you get from an APU is hilarious. While in some older and less intense games they perform okay a dedicated GPU like the GTX 950 in my build will smoke your APU anyday.

why are you trying to compare an iGPU to a gimped 960

please answer that as i can't figure out what you're trying to argue about there

from someone who's using a shitty laptop, an A8-7650K would be a huge upgrade from what I have

true 500$ gives you a lot more.

C2Q+775 board=50-100

8GB DDR2 Ram=40-50

1TB HDD=40

7870/7950/7970=80-150

Case+PSU=50-120

Just go used on everything except HDD and PSU.

The 950 isn't gimped, yes it's a cut down 960 but that doesn't mean it's gimped. It performs better than the 370 and 750ti. What I'm trying to figure out is why you're suggesting he goes with an APU. I know you have one in your laptop and you love AMD but that doesn't mean that it's a good choice.

it was the system before the monitor

if you look at the one after the monitor thing you would've seen the 285 which will kick the 950's ass

Thanks for taking your time I wont need a monitor mabye we can make the budget $500

Tell you what. Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CYhGZL

I spent around $725 and built a computer that runs anything I throw at it. And I can say that I won't be upgrading it for a long time. In regards to GTA V, it runs it at 85+ fps on all High settings with High Post FX ect. The point I'm trying to make is that you get what you pay for. There is no easy cheap option for a great experience for GTA V. Just nope. I bet you can cut more corners that me. That's what the link is for. I bet you can cheap a little more on the gpu. But when it comes down to it, $500 or $400 is enough for medium maybe at 1080p']. Maybe with acceptable fps.

EDIT: The hdd is one I found in my house. A WD 1TB blue is about the same price.

My Build: cpu: i7-12700k motherboard: Asus Strix Gaming D4 Wifi ram: G.Skill 64gb (4x16gb) 4000mhz @ 1.45v case: O11D XL gpu: MSI Gaming Trio 4090 storage: 3x Crucial 1tb Nvme SSDs display: Samsung LC34G55TWWNXZA keyboard: Logitech G915 mouse: Logitech Superlight headset: astro a40 tr

Yes, but it's also 80$ over the budget. If I had 80$ more in my budget I'd have 380x.
