I would replace the PSU before putting a 970 950 in. Molex isn't designed to handle that much power, especially not from a crappy PSU.

Look for something like a EVGA B2 series, Antec High Current Gamer or anything from Seasonic as a replacement.

I really would get a new PSU, I wouldn't risk using Molex adapters especially with a PSU like that

EVGA B2 is great budget option

It only has 33A on the +12V rail.

33A*12V = 396W

Nowhere near the 600W it claims to be.

Typical shitty PSU.

Do yourself a favor. Don't keep that ticking timebomb in your PC.

This!

Replace before this happens

You'll be fine. I think there is a 2x molex to 6 pin included in your graphics card box. I would replace your power supply eventually but you don't need to right now.

I would replace the PSU before putting a 970 in. Molex isn't designed to handle that much power, especially not from a crappy PSU.

Look for something like a EVGA B2 series, Antec High Current Gamer or anything from Seasonic as a replacement.

It's not a 970, it's a 950 that he's after.

Besides, Molex can carry 5A-8.5A apparantly so don't worry about Molex.

u will watch your world burn, get a gpu and psu.

Power supplies have to be able to suply the power they're rated for safely. The power supply is fine for the application, although should be considered as an upgrade in the future.

I'm talking the main OEM - like Corsair have 75% CWT, AX by SeaSonic, AXi by Flextronics.

if you run a beefy GPU off that PSU you will burn it out - both of them i mean - that PSU was not made to handle GPUs - hence the absence of PCIe connectors.
