which is better:radeon hd 7950 3gb gddr5 or gtx 750ti 2gb gddr5?

montygo

I know the 750ti is newer, and runs on a newer architecture, but the 7950 has higher memory at gddr5, so im not sure which to get. (I already have a 750ti, and the 7950 is the best I could find in my price range(I can get one for super cheap))

They are different classes of card. the 7950 is quite a bit faster and with more memory should have no issues with running higher settings. I wouldn't worry about it being older as it is the same GPU that is in  last years R9 280 cards so drivers still being optimized with it in mind for new games.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

Ya a lot of these cards can be found cheap used or refurbished. They are still a great deal if you don't need to upgrade your psu too use them.

Memory has nothing to do with it, the gpu on the 7950 destroys the one on the 750ti when it comes to performance

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I said it was faster; when I mentioned the memory to imply that it would probably handle higher resolutions at the same or higher framerates.
