Anti static strap + electrical tape

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

I have an antic static strap, but it instead of an alligator clip, it has a proprietary plug at the end, its made of metal at least.

What I am wondering is if I were to just tape this end to my PSU (plugged in and turned off) would I be safe?

Is electrical tape the right kind to do this with? Or should I use scotch tape?

Yes that will work just make sure the paint isn't preventing a good electrical contact and you won't have any problems.
