Well, I am not upgrading my GPU... YET. It's old, and I want to spend like $500 on a GPU alone.

Also I will get 16gb of ram next and an SSD with at least 500gb.

If you're gaming though then even just a 300$ gpu and a less expensive 200$ cpu would have given you magnitudes more performance. Hell, even getting a 380 would have given you almost double the performance for only like, 50-60$ more.

I could have gone with the $200 cpu, the 4460, but I decided only $40 more was okay to pay for the top tier CPU, along with OC headroom. I don't need the best of the best, but I not really on a budget either.

As for the GPU. I really haven't decided what I want yet. My minimum is a 970. I need Nvidia cards for my shield devices.

So the 750ti is just a place holder until you can get a 970? If so then i get it, cause the 750ti is like, a 720p card if you want to play on max settings. It can only run 60fps in 1080p at reduced settings, Low to medium.
