Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new mouse. Not because my old DeathAdder sucks, but because it doesn't fit my overall color scheme and I need a mouse for my Notebook anyway.
So I'll simply use the DeathAdder for that.

  • I want a simple black mouse. It doesn't need to have lighting, but if it has I need to be able to turn it off.
  • The mouse needs to perform well. I would like an optical sensor because I don't want mouse acceleration. But it doesn't need to have an "ULTRA HYPER Super Sensor 7000".  ;)
  • I have fairly large hands. I was fine with the DeathAdder, but if it's a little larger it would be nice.

Before you jump at me and scream "LOGITECH": Don't do it. I don't want one, because they look too "gamery" to me. I wouldn't trust Logitech anyways.

I live in Germany. If the mouse is available on http://geizhals.de/ then I should be able to buy it.

Thanks.

The Func comes with that slightly orange cable. It looks nice, but things like these drive me crazy. It needs to be as black as possible :P

The Naos 7000 seems like what I want.

I heard a lot of good things about it. But it seems small on the pictures.

Do you have experience with it?

go to your local megastore and buy some HP mouse.

they do REALLY well actually.

No. Didn't even know that HP sells mice.

Zowie make simple mice with no drivers, four DPI sensitivities and that is it.

They're made for performance, not for being flashy.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

As for the Naos 7000, if you get it, you'll love it. I have two.

I'm just looking at the ZA11 from Zowie. Looks like pretty much what I want.

On the site you linked are a lot of different series of mice. Do you know if any of these are for larger hands?

ZA11 is made for large hands. It's a reasonably large size, honestly, though reading the specifications it wouldn't give you that impression.

ZA11 is the largest of the ZA series.

The FK is a smaller series of mice with a lower hump in the back for more of a claw grip, though the FK1 is the larger of the three they have.

EC-A is the newest of the EC series and is the best. It's got the same sensor as the FK and the ZA series now, which is far superior to the one it was using before. The EC1-A is the largest of the two as well.

hp mice are actually really popular in the office space.

they're very basic, no unnecessary flair, and do their job. and are very durable at that.
