Is this CPU Cooler Adequete?

I have a FX 6300 CPU running at stock speed of 3.5ghz my PC was overheating a lot with the stock fan.

I firstly wanted a Hyper 212 Evo cooler but my Corsair spec 03 case prevents me from using it.

So I decided to order this Noctua cooler http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002W81KTI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

I got this cause it offered room for 4 of my ram sticks.

Is this a good choice of cooling?

Why will your case not fit the Hyper 212? It's got a huge side panel bulge for CPU coolers as far as I can tell.

On the corsair website it says the maximum spheight you can have is 157mm and hyper 212 is that size, I've researched and people have only been able to fit it in if its rut up against glass, which causes scratches.

Well for me, it's right up against the side panel window. It was risky, but whatever.

But sure if you want to buy the other one go for it man.

I'd have thought that if you have a side window, you want to have a CPU cooler that is actually nice to look at, and something like a Be Quiet! Shadow Rock Topflow would fit that bill much better, while being equally low-profile and high-quality...

Mhm yeah, I was thinking of changing the Noctua fan to another high quality one to match my blue and black colour scheme of my PC

Not a bad idea, but if you want to go for the added expense of a replacement fan, you might as well buy a cooler with a good-looking fan in the first place...

Mhmm, I hear yah my budget was only £40 I bought this cause it's under 157mm height wise and offers a lot of room for my 4 ram sticks.

It wouldn't be optimal for cooling due to the case design. Something along the lines of the NH-D9L that directs air towards the back would be better: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd9l

I have just received this cooler, as long as it cools my PC. Don't wanna return it now :D
