SATA cables are SATA cables. There are no SATAIII or SATAII cables.

all sata cables work both on sata 2 and 3 no bottleneck

There's no difference between SATA cables, the same goes for HDMI cables.

The difference is in the hardware not in the cable.

Electrically true. Physically SATA2 introduced a locking clip. :P (i know im just nitpicking xD)
