Hello everyone.

I have Intel Core I5 4440 with intel stock cooler, idle temps goes to around 38-46 C and 50-52 C while watching movies or browsing or streaming or transferring data. while gaming, it goes to max 64 C. the PC start-up temps are 38 C. are these temps safe or should I get any aftermarket cooler.

I have Cooler Master 690 III chassis with one 200mm fan on front and one CM Jetflo 120mm fan at rear. GPU, Asus Strix 750Ti and SBZ, not much.

if I do need a cooler then unfortunately I have limited choice here in my country.

CM Hyper 212X----------$40

CM Hyper D92----------$40

Thermaltake Frio Silent 14----------$43

and

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Performer C (maybe out of my budget) ----------$62

thanks

Your temps are perfectly fine. If you do want to get a cooler I would recommend the Hyper 212 EVO and that will keep your temps lower and the fan noise lower as well.

64*C is perfectly safe - start worrying if it's over 75*C on the cores.

Stock cooler is good enough for that CPU - make sure all the pressure pins are fully connected if you are scared and replace thermal paste with Arctic Silver IF YOU REALLY NEED TO but the stock one is perfectly fine.

Only reason to get a new cooler on a locked CPU is for quietness in which case I would recommend the Be Quiet! Pure Rock

thanks for quick replies

212 EVO is not available in my country. there is no fan noise from my PC it's only my ceiling fan that makes a little noise, even when it's close i don't hear any fan noise out of my PC.

if forgot to mention that i also have one 120mm fan on top (sickle flow) which is very old and gonna replace it with one more jetflo. i did not use any other thermal paste just the pre-applied compound but i have cooler master thermal paste (of D92 cooler he bought) which my friend gave my a little but still in the tube. will it help any if i use it. thanks
