GTX 980Ti SLi or GTX TITAN X?

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

980Ti SLI is FAR better. Even a single 980Ti will perform about the same as a Titan X (better if your 980Ti isn't terrible at overclocking).

So I was talking to my friend about his upcoming build. He has a 8 year old pc and has saved up for a monster. He brought up a question about picking a graphics card. His question was to either pick a titan x or gtx 970 in sli. Now me knowing a bit about computers I told him that Titan x is a must. But now since I'm saving up for a pc upgrade, or at lest saving up for some good parts, I wonder what would be better GTX 980 ti sli or Titan x.

Now because I do want to make the upgrade to 4k quite soon I wondering what would be better.

Which card would perform better Titan x or gtx 980 sli? please help, do I go for the more expensive option or the cheaper?

A 980ti sli config is better than a Titan X.

A single 980 Ti is basically on par with a Titan X, and even performs better than a Titan X in some cases. I think you already know which one to go with though.
