What image/parts comes to Your mind when YOu hear the words 'Gaming PC' ?

Tech_Dreamer

I imagine a PC where I can find a decently beefy GPU.

I view gamers as white fat boys with thin metal glasses, and they tend to sweat a lot.

That hits a bit too close to home...

  1. Red and black colour scheme
  2. Glossy plastic case with a gaudy angular design
  3. Enough LEDs to be seen from space
  4. One or more obscenely overpriced GPUs

1.) So what is a White and Black scheme then if a Red and Black scheme is gaming?

2.) Define R5, H440, Silent Base 800?

3.) Conceded

4.) Nvidia GPUs tend to be overpriced as of right now since AMD cards come rather close in terms of FPS. Example R9 390X vs GTX 980, the 980 will outperform the 390X but not by much.

To me a gaming PC just means a PC that is able to play games at higher resolutions and settings than a regular pc/console.

Of course to some they're in the mindset that Red and Black is the absolute best (and might even continue that ignorant stupor when a computer of better specs is shown and doesn't have a black/red theme. )

I might not really be all that much into games (with the exception of WoW) but the predispositions on what a gaming computer is suppose to be is annoying.

Those flashy cases with the LEDs and other 1337 stuff, almost Alienware like.
