Can't play Fifa anymore?

Hi y'all

 

I installed Fifa 15 again a couple of days ago and haven't been able to play it.

I have run Fifa 15 before on this PC, but now everytime I start it my video card makes this irritating whining noise. The game is extremely laggy, even on the lowest settings (actually low or high settings does not make any difference) and once a minute or so the game freezes and the GPU load drops to 0% for a sec, goes back to 95 and continues. 

Funny thing is that it only happens with Fifa, I can play Skyrim and Cities: Skyline just fine.

 

I uninstalled Fifa since I don't actually play it anymore, but I am still very interested whether one of you has any explanation for this behavior.
