thats rules out, 

oh well. Not to say that its still not a possibility, they might be waiting for a R9 395X first

The 580 launched at $499, the 590 launched at $699

 

The 680 launched at $499, the 690 launched at $999

 

The 980 launched at $549, I'd guess that if the 990 happens, it will launch at roughly $1299, maybe $1399.

And the price difference is still negligible because if the price difference costs less than 400, then it would still beat the Titan X in price/perf.

If you say so. I'd bet anything we are still not seeing it for a good 5-6 months. Nothing indicates sooner than q1 2016.

And nvidua has literally 0 reason to move up release dates now.
