Obi Worldphone - SF1 and SJ1.5 backed by former Apple CEO John Sculley

Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley-backed Obi Mobiles has been rebranded as Obi Worldphone, and unveiled two new affordable smartphones - the SF1 and SJ1.5.

 

Both the Obi Worldphones are designed in San Francisco.

 

The phones, which seem to be named after Bay Area cities San Francisco and San Jose

 

They look very unique.

 

SF1

 

It has an floating like display (not sure about the quality), FHD 5" display! looks dope! And it is the top spec'd phone between these two.

 

Features Snapdragon 615 64 bit CPU, Comes with 2GB/16GB or 3GB/32GB, 13 MP Sony Exmor RS sensor, 5 MP front with LED flash also on

 

board, features Quick Charge 1.0, 3000 mAh battery, Gorilla Glass 4, Micro SD expansion upto 64GB and dual sim slot! Support for LTE bands

 

too!

 

It's powered by Android L Obi Lifespeed, a custom user interface.

 

It comes with a fingerprint-free coating.

the sf1 looks like a iPhone screen pasted onto a lumia with android running on it. I don't like the design tbh. I'd rather go for a nexus 5 or a One Plus over this.

this, it's possibly one of the ugliest smartphones I've seen what with that display protruding like that.

Every time I see obi worldphone I see obi wan.

Seems like a good budget phone can't tell for sure if its any good right now and how good the android skin is, at least I find the colour cool.
