Ethernet Switch in attic

So i sorta need to put a switch in my attic theres no other good way to do it really, theres a few but i prefer this. The hottest it gets in the summer "Based over last 3 years" is 97 F and the coldest is 20 F. The Switch is rated for 140 F to 30 F

In the winter you could always put a small heater in the attic to keep it warm.

EDIT: I couldn't follow, I would assume that the 10f can't hurt it that bad, If you are worried use a heater

I assume you're asking if it's okay? You're fine, those temperatures are put there so that if your product fails outside of those temperatures, they can blame it on 'Extreme Conditions'. Happened to me before.

Just make sure you get a good switch, you don't want the trouble of resetting it over and over again when it's in the attic, one of my friends had that problem.

you can get cheap thermal isolation materials and put over your switch although i dont think you need it

you dont even need it just get the switch and try it ,if it overheats then look for a cooling solition i dont thing it will overheat

a better way is to cover it with a towel so the internal heat it generates would get trapped

If used frequently a switch will heat up a bit anyway so i wouldn't worry about it getting cold, get one with a metal case.
