Posted August 19, 2015 Hi there,I just built my first real build and I am not sure how to overclock my CPU. It has plenty of cooling and I am looking for a medium overclock and not an extreme overclock. I know from the BIOS is where it is changed, but on this MSI X99A mobo I am not sure how to do it as I am used to ASUS motherboards.
 Posted August 19, 2015 In the OC section. Change the multiplier by using the + and - keys. You can probably leave the CPU core voltage on [auto] for a small overclock. Press 'F10' to save configuration and exit the bios after you have the settings you like. If you'd like to change the CPU core voltage manually, just check the CPU OC database on this forum too see what others voltage is at for the clock speeds you'd like to achieve. i3-4170, H81 board, 8GB DDR3, Crucial M4, GTX 770, Xigmatek Vangaurd Case, Creative Titanium X-fi, Razer Carcharias, 500w PSU, 24" VA panel and a 42" IPS. Thinking about getting a plant.
