I cant think of any good places to work.

Im 16, and would like a job, at some tech oriented place.

Seems like everything needs 18+

Ideas?

At 16, you take whatever you can get......unless you live in Alberta where the kids seem to think that at age 15 they should be making $100K a year.

That's why you gotta make one :P (I'd love to start one, but I'm only 16... and have little business knowledge right now...)

Office depot? Some of their stores have a technology department, one out near me has basically their own "geek squad" type service in store.

Maybe best buy if you can deal with trying to sell people shit they don't actually need because it's "better".

I applied at office depot, had an interview, ended up getting an email a few days later basically saying "Fuck you, go look somewhere else". (Applied at ace hardware too because it's not that big of a store and I'm decently knowledgeable in the sort of stuff they sell, ended up being told they were going to look elsewhere due to availability... damn drama club taking up time that I could be using to save money for college... [Which I'll have to pay for myself...])

I applied for 8 different jobs at office depot didn't get called once.

I applied at office depot and ace hardware within like 3 days of eachother..

1-2 weeks later, got a call for an interview at office depot, went in the next day for the interview, day after that got called for an interview at ace, went in the next day for that interview xD

Guess I'll just have to go this year with my only job being the one for my highschool working as much as possible, then maybe next year drop out of drama club, or at least be much less involved in it.

Honestly most places will want you to be full time and at 16 it wouldn't be the best idea to try and do both school and a full time job. Not saying you wouldn't be able to. Just it would be hard to keep grades and work without eventually one or both dropping off. Also if you want a pc job it may help to get your COMPTIA A+ certification. Yeah most places don't require it but it would look good on a resume and would help get you past lack of on the job experience. Plus it would look good period to have. And also if you are good with PCs the certification is pretty simple common knowledge questions.
