How to fully reset an iPad

My iPad 2 has been slow recently and was wondering how to fully reset it. Would getting all my apps and progress back be as simple as signing in iTunes and re downloading everything?

I'll give more info but wanna keep it short and sweet

go into settings general scroll to the bottom and tap reset

or hit restore in itunes.

Go to Setting-> General-> Reset. That will erase ALL YOUR DATA! So be sure to make a backup of you important stuff when you do this.

but he could re install all of his data if it is on his Apple ID.
