4k 144hz is just too much even for displayport to handle

you could do a quad monitor setup with 4 1080p g-sync 144hz monitors tho

yea I know ..we need DP 1.4 OR 1.3

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile

even if they release 4k monitors... goodluck rendering it.. especially at 144hz as current gpus can only handle around 20-30fps with nice settings, goodluck getting 144fps+ ( unless u playing quake 3 on a titan x for example lols , but whats the point on 4k for that )

second... for development 4x nice.. but u wont need the 144hz for that ^^

besides that it will probably still take 5year +- for them to release better stuff

End of next year. Displayport 1.3 will start appearing in devices at the start of next year. Its a marginal shitty upgrade from Displayport 1.2 which already allows 4k@80hz. Dp1.3 will allow 4k@120hz.

Much more amazing things will happen in 5-7 years. When SuperMHL cable will be available which will allow 5120x2160@10bit@200hz or 8k@8bit@60hz (under full 4:4:4).

And about that same time we should start seeing OLED in monitors. OLED has a pixel response time of 0.01ms for ALL color shifts.

The advertised 1ms/5ms you see on LCD is just grey2grey measured under heavy overdrive. All other color shifts are worse. If you used such overdrive in daily use you`d have massive inverse ghosting. All LCD`s are shit actually.

I plan on getting something 21:9 and 100+hz (something cheaper than the 1300$ price now) this or next year. THAT will be good enough to hold me over for the next 5 years ill SuperMHL and OLED in monitors.
