You can hold it back. For example, games bottleneck CPUs for the most part.

I'd say cooling solutions are most interesting. Planning and building all out watercooling loops is fun.

Most interesting are in my opinion the PSU's.

Its really not that easy to design a good PSU, and those are often underestimated.

Also, the PSU is the part I can understand the best.

Current PC broken, saving up atm.

I really like the physics-aspect of it, bending voltages is crazy

Yes. Right now the loop is fairly simple, but I'm planning my next build in a CaseLabs Magnum M8A using rigid tubing.

As an electrical engineer, pretty much all electronic components are examples of great engineering. From a PCB standpoint, motherboards are definitely the most interesting, so much is going on there.

But CPUs are special to me, as I see them as the greatest representative of newest manufacturing processes and IC design.

Yes. Right now the loop is fairly simple, but I'm planning my next build in a CaseLabs Magnum M8A using rigid tubing.

Current one is the Corsair 750D, next one will be the CaseLabs Magnum M8A
