Posted August 4, 2015 I'm noticing a pattern. Bad ports have exceedingly high minimum requirements (CoD Ghosts, Arkham Shite, etc.). Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was an amazing demonstration of the performance possibilities of the Fox Engine. If Phantom Pain is on the same engine, then presumably, we should have ourselves a very nice game that performs very well. The high requirements are likely due to the evolving state of games, and how it appears that the latest MGS wants to push the graphical boundaries a bit. I normally take "reccomended" to mean "Medium setting 1080p 60fps", and i7s are fucking expensive. Not to mention the 760 is still a damn good card. Posted August 4, 2015 No AMD cards on minimum nor recommended specs, I think it'll have other-the-top requirements for AMD cards, like HD 7850 for minimum specs and R9 280X or 290 for recommended and it's gonna run like shit on AMD cards. Nvidia offering the game with their cards is never a good thing for AMD users.

If it ran fine in the past it doesn't mean that it'll run fine now.

It also doesn't mean it's going to be shit because NVIDIA is slapping their sticker on the box, and throwing some GameWorks in so that the foliage can react to the horse's legs. There's being pessimistic, being realistic, and being optimistic. I'm being realistic, and you're being pessimistic.
 Posted August 4, 2015 Actually, we're both being realistic, to a degree. I can't purchase Batman: Arkham Knight on PC through Steam, because the game was pulled while they fix it. Because it was a trainwreck. Why would Kojima Productions, Konami, or whoever else want to release a game that follows in those footsteps? Seems like they're not that stupid. Why would Kojima Productions, Konami, or whoever else want to release a game that follows in those footsteps? Seems like they're not that stupid.Kojima has nothing to do with MGS anymore. I didn't say that it'll be a bad port, I was just saying that Nvidia offering the game with their cards means that it'll most probably have GameWorks and run bad on AMD cards.
