Windows 10 says i have an illegitimate copy!

as the title states windows 10 wont give me the upgrade it just asks for a new product code, i used daz loader a while ago and it worked so how is it now refusing, and what should i do. Im definetly not buying windows.  

 

Go Linux? stay Windows 7 ?

If you don't have a legit copy then you can't upgrade to a legit copy.

 

Buy windows or stay on 7, you can get it cheap at http://reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap that's where I got my 8 pro license.

If you're not buying windows then you're not getting windows...Its pretty simple!

You could become a tester but I believe they may have ended the signup for that when it went gold, could be wrong?

i condone, and support piracy, as a greedy capitalist counter measure.

However, i suggest you understand what you're doing when you pirate, and not B,G or, C when issues happen. 

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Do you know how happy I feel that I recently went out and bought a legit copy of WIn 8.1 now? Lol. I had Daz loader, imagine if I had actually waited for this shit to happen to ME.

Bummer, if that doesn't work you could look around on the net for the ISO (it'll be all over the place i.e. torrents, filelockers, etc.) just check the hash to verify it doesn't have any nasties baked in ;)

Well, I am installing the ISO I got on my main computer which has pirated 8.1 but still I got the reserved update, I extracted the ISO, burned it on to an USB drive and now It's installing on my laptop. I tried the Product Key for Windows 7 on the install but it didn't work so I'm installing one without a licence. I just thought the W7 key would work on W10. I'll just wait for a keygen or something. Really can't afford an OS for 110€ if I'm saving for a 1080p monitor. Right now using 1366x768.

Yea unfortunately the keys are linked to the specific version of windows, personally if I had a legit key I would take the time to DL the W7 ISO just to save yourself any potential hassles in the future. If you don't want to DL W7 you can get W8.1 keys for ~$30-40 on G2A (last time I checked) and even cheaper on reddit.

DAZ Loader injects code into the bootloader as far as I know. That is no longer possible with Win10 as everything from the boot to desktop is digitally signed by Microsoft.
