Posted July 28, 2015 ok so im getting my First Laptop tommorow (Jul 29) (the Asus Zenbook Ux305Fa) and im upgrading to windows 10 day 1. im also building a pc in arround 2 weeks and i dont really want to spend money on an operating system. is it possible to just transfer the Windows 10 from My new laptop to my PC, like first thing i will do is transfer the Operating System to a USB flash drive then use that to install an operating system for my new pc? or do i have to buy a Disk? Posted July 28, 2015 The windows the laptop has is an OEM version and can't morally be transferred to a new PC. It would break the Windows EULA. I did see Newegg had Win7 and 8 for sale for $90. If you are a Uni student you can get Win8 pro for $60.
