Gaming laptop for less than 900$USD?

skullrebell

So im looking to replace my lenovo idea pad z570 which has a i3-2330m and a nvidia geforce gt 520m due to it literally falling apart, from 4.5 years of ownership and abuse and the increasing temperatures i have had in the last 3 months from it under light use( dont suggest i clean it, i have already tried doing so and it made not a single difference). I would prefer a 15 inch screen , i have no need for touch screen or for an optical drive, and 8gb of ram, what would you all recommend. My budget has a hard limit of 900 USD, this also is not to be my only device, just when i want to play games on the go, or when i don't feel like getting out of bed and going to my main machine.

Hmmm, country and prefer place to shop? For that budget I'd say get an 850m and an i5 from Asus, Lenovo or Dell. Whichever has the better cooling,

If you don't feel like going out of bed you might as wel use nvidia or steam streaming instead of installing each game you own twice

In that case look on Newegg or Amazon for any Asus or Lenovo whose specs you feel are good. That's about it ^_^

that would still require me getting out of bed to go to the main system and turning it on , soo, really dosent matter aboout installing twice and i wouldnt be installing all 178 of my games a second time.

Pretty sure you can turn it off, or just make it one color. It would be nice to use at night with a single color.

The RGB wouldn't really make it much cheaper anyway, I can try and find something for $900 though

Perfect fit for your budget, quad-core mobile CPU for games and a 950M. This setup does run GTA V, I have a friend with this machine with similar specs and he plays at about medium settings 60FPS.

What did you add? If it is an SSD, I would just save up some more money and get the SSD later, then clone Windows over or reinstall Windows.
