We don't know. It's a mainstream chipset so it'll probably be cheaper (x99 was an enthusiest chipset).

With it using DDR4, my guess it will be near the same price range as the X99. The only way to bring down ub price is only if you grab a cheap board.

If Z170 hits the market , DDR4 is going to drop in prices slowly after ...

DDR4 is actually not that expensive anymore (a 16GB kit from Kingston cost like US$162)

My guess though is that Z170 will cost about as much as X99 for a couple weeks and like others said come back down to around Z97 prices.

I have a feeling that people wanting to upgrade to Skylake are gunna be salty when they find out that they do infact have to either buy DDR3L or DDR4 with a Z170 board.
