Can anyone explain to me what makes it ultra sharp? I have a 24 inch 1080p monitor (The same specs as this) but what makes this "Ultra Sharp" over mine.

Nice. Seems to me like its a 1920 x 1200 version of the monitor I'm using (U2414h, which is 1080).

Is it just me, or has Dell become better known for their monitors than their computers? At least among the PC building community?

I believe the UltraSharp models are factory-calibrated. Mine came with a spec sheet showing the calibration results and stuff.

It is Dells line of best IPS displays, best color, contrast, ect. With a really thin border.

So sharp you can cut bread with it.

16:10 is so annoying!

Looks like you miss-spelled "awesome".

I love 16:10. I just gave my parents my Dell 2412m's, they were great monitors.

These are an awesome deal, I'm so tempted. If I hadn't just shelled out for an SSD and RAM I would pick one up.

They are Dell's highest quality panels. Often boasting the best color accuracy, color range, dynamic range, great viewing angles, a variety of ergonomic features (tilt swivel etc), various inputs (HDMI, DVI, DP, USB).

Although Dell has the stigma of being a cheap desktop manufacturer, their Ultrasharp monitors are really well regarded.

Was tempted to pick one of these up, but decided on an Asus PB238q since it was only like $195 on Amazon when I bought it.

I love 16:10 and I love my Ultrasharp. It's an older Ultrasharp, but I've been running my Dell 2405FPW for almost 10 years now and it's still awesome.

I actually got my Asus monitor to replace the Dell as my primary monitor, but I can't quit the IPS  :D
