Good laptops around 1000$

tihor29

Hi,

I am in the market for a new laptop and I can't seem to find a nice looking reasonably thin and light ultra book around 1000$ the only decent options are the xps 13 which only has a 128gb ssd on the close to 1000$ model or the macbook pro which I know is a lot more. I want to try to avoid the macbook pro but I want large battery and decent cpu. Ideas. Thanks.

Alrighty, Have you checked out the Asus Zenbook? Theyre quite cheap and still perform well for a cheaper ultra book

Sager do indeed make great performance laptops, but not so much ultrabook or long last battery life when portable. The Sager NP2740 would be good however the battery life is only like 3 hours.

I think for what you want, you might need to either spend a bit more or lower your expectations of what $1000 will get you :(

To be honest, for what you want you might be best off with the XPS 13, or a macbook :)

its a refurbished one, thats why its cheap

your best bet would probably get a good ultrabook like the ones already mentioned along with a high capacity battery bank

or use the one listed (it will last anywhere between 5-9 hours give or take)

Thats a refurbished one, and its being sold by Dell so it should be fine. Would probably be your best bet :)

Get something from the x or t series of Lenovo, the battery life on their laptops is great. And there is great support from linux on lenovo laptops.
