Hi there guys
I've just bought my hardware for my first pc - finaly.
Though i ran into a small problem... My fans, ph-140hp, are as big as a 140mm fan, obviously, but the mounting holes are the same as 120mm fans, which is didn't notice until i was about to install it. This means that when i want to have two 140mm intake fans i the front of my s340, which supports either dual 140mm or dual 120mm, it doesn't fit.
If i try to mount them in the 120mm holes there isn't enough room for both since those holes are closer together, and at the same time they can't be mounted in the 140 holes.

I've tried to find an adapter like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811995076 - but this will block off some of the airflow sine the fan itself is 140mm.

Does anyone here know what i can possibly do - it would really hurt to be forces to drill new holes in the case...

I hope that some of all the bright minds in here know what to do.

Try using zip ties. I've ghetto rigged a fan behind the 5-1/4" bays before with just zip ties.

the adapters "restriction" is better than not running the fans, i have the same case.. throw one up top and get 2 new fans for the front.. worst case you have an extra top fan.. even use 2 ghetto fans or mis matching ones until you can order some..
