Two fans on one header?

Go to solution Solved by Crowes,

I'd say PSU with a molex.

Hey

I would like to install an additional fan at the bottom of my case, but the problem is that I only have two headers at the bottom of my motherboard. Both are occupied by intake fans.

On of the fans has an additional 4-pin header attached to it.

I read a lot of negative posts that don't recommend connecting two fans to one header, because it could cause an overload.

The thing is, I have an H80i GT connected to just one CPU header, and that's a pump and two fans drawing power from one header.

Is it safe to connect the two fans or should I connect it to the PSU with a molex?

Thanks in advance!
