Hey everybody, before I get on with this post, just gonna say I do not know alot about pc or pc parts, so If i sound stupid, then you know why.

So... Im making my first ever gaming pc( http://pcpartpicker.com/p/GpTQsY ) and I have 2 monitors already, but I dont know if the gtx 960 2gb can have 2 monitors.

Also does the cpu work for both monitors?(probably a dumb question but im new to this stuff)

They are not huge monitors, but not tiny little squares if it helps.

Yes it can drive two monitors.

Just make sure you have the right cables to connect your monitors to the gpu.

What monitors do you have?

What's the resolution of your monitors and also do you plan on gaming on both?

Because if you're just using one for gaming then the 2nd one doesn't actually use up much of your GPU power

Define handle 2 monitors.  If by handle you mean for every day use brows the web and regular multi tasking features yes.  If by gaming on BOTH no, probably not.  You can still game on one and have pandora, itunes etc open on the other.

Yes, however. I would not recommend gaming on an AMD system any more, because the CPU is really old the i3 can beat it in certain applications.

Here is a system that is the same price as the one you've built:

Did you even watch the fucking video? Benchmarks do not lie.

Also fuck your video, the 8350 is cheaper than any Intel CPU with similar performance. Hence why OP should purchase it.

I would strongly advise against an FX processor.

But, to answer your question, I have a 960 and I'm running dual monitors right now on the computer I'm typing this on.

If my old laptop with ATI HD 3000 could handle SC2 on 2 monitors (it's own and an extra 720p one) then yes, you are more than ok with 2 screens on that GPU. Gaming on both, however, will be next to impossible at high settings.

Streaming benchmarks...

Any one who isn't streaming or doing CPU tasks while gaming isn't gonna utilize a 8350 hence why we go to intel instead for gaming, unless you're making a budget streaming or CPU task build theres no point in choosing it over a 4790K or X99 build.

yes and no. I am a former FX 8320 user

FX is cheaper, only if you use the 8320E (note the E at the end).

the 8320 is 125w CPU and requires a 990FX mobo with 8+2 power delivery to work. Most 970 boards (the most common boards i see people with FX use) cannot handle a 8320. The CPU will run, but it wont get enough power so it will never run at full speed. The 8320e is just as fast (same turbo). OCs better, and can be used with this 970 mobo

@camiscool

The setup above will run just fine, it will handle your FX, and save you 20ish bucks, while outperforming your former setup with ease

You can get a i5 for the same price as a 8350, therefore there is no choice that is the more "budget option".

I already said that 'Unless you're making a budget streaming or CPU task build theres no point in choosing it over a 4790K or X99 build'

And budget wise if you were just making a budget a gaming build there's no reason to for AMD either when you could make cheaper i3 H87/H97 Z87/Z97 build instead of a cheap 6300 build with a shitty 970 mobo that's gonna eventually set on fire. A 8350 will need a 990 as well which is more expensive than a i5 build. Unless you're on budget and want to stream or do CPU tasks that require multitasking then there's no reason to buy a FX CPU for gaming.

Just a bit of info for some one such as your self who has no clue as to how bad 4 modules 8 ALU perform, well over 6.5x the power consumption of my i5 4440 and they are still slower:
