Hello, and thanks for reading this already!

Can anyone recommend me a microphone that has...

  • A good price/quality?
  • As good as possible audio quality, because music will be recorded with it.
  • Not too expensive.
  • Easily transportable.
  • Preferably black.

If anyone has any suggestions, please leave them here!

Thanks in advance!

Basic guide to CPU's!

If I said I were 14, you would call me a kid. If I say 70, you’ll entitle me too old. If I say 20 you say I’m inexperienced and if I say 40 than I'm too boring.

For $50, either a blue snowball or samson meteor mic. For $100, either a blue yeti or audio-technica at-2020

The Snowball and Meteor are amazing mics for their price, and 3kliksphillip did a test to see if the Meteor or the Yeti had a noticeable difference and there is a very small, nearly impossible to hear difference unless you listen for it.

Yes, but depending on what you're doing, it may still be worth it. He said he would be recording music, and you want the best audio possible for that.

Looks great, thanks!

Will there be a big difference between these?

Not a huge one. The meteor and snowball are very similar, and the yeti and 2020 are very similar. There is a bit of a difference between the two levels, but TBH they all sound pretty great.

  • 3 weeks later...

You should use a cardioid. They have the best sound. Go to a store like George's Music or Guitar Center and talk to the guy at the microphone counter. They are very knowledgable.
