I deleted my Documents Folder

Hello Forum,

 

As you read the the title, I accidentally deleted my Documents Folder. What next? I tried recovering it with Recuva but there were numbers and letters (like strings) everywhere. Please help. Got my savefiles in there.

Is it not in the recycling bin? Or do you have it set to bypass the bin when you delete things?

Permanently deleted. I emptied my Recycle Bin.

Yes. I did. My mouse is not working, so delayed replies. Even Steam Keys. My MOUSE!!!!

Why did you empty it? 

 

Really, if recovery programs don't work for you (they normally retrieve parts of things, rather than complete documents), then your only other option would be to have it done professionally. However, it's expensive and not guaranteed to work.

Nothing. It's gone. Permanently deleting something, well.... Permanently deletes it.

You can only recover it if you have another hdd that's at least the same size, preferably bigger.

Afaik easeus recovery master works nice.

I didn't even get a Steam Key and now my work is also gone. Save Files.

save files are on steam cloud, you might lose your most recent saves, but they should be backed up.

Of course this doesnt help, but.. you shouldnt have deleted it in the first place. Once gone, things are hard or impossible to recover, at least fully. So.. yeah.

It's the only option you have, unless you want to completely ruin it of course.

Try deleting system32 also, that might do the trick.

Why? I guess it's lost. Will any games go corrupt tho?

Somehow I still have the savefiles. I don't know where they are tho.
