Actually i noticed my bill went down alot each month,normally is 120 a month now its down to 75$ after i went to nvidia upgrade now its 70 to 80 a month.so im happy were im at but thats my opinion so you can keep yours.

I got nothing to prove to you man im not gonna post my info all over the net just to prove a point.i don't really care really if he wants to stick to the 290x than go for it.just remember alot of people ditch their 290x for a 970 and 980 so that should tell you something but what ever have a good day.

ad post hoc fallacy, just because it happen after something doesn't mean it happened because of it. Something else was causing the bill, a graphic card can't do that much f difference!

If your gaming on 1080p then I'll save up, the r9 290x still holds. And your CPU is still fine even not overclocked.

It should be, till this day even the 2500k is still able to not bottleneck high end cards like a 980ti, so you should be fine.

YAY! Did i mention i've only spent 5SGD to upgrade from a 4440 to a 4770? (was that $5 worth it?)

 

The k series is for overclocking if you are not planning to do so than your cpu is fine for another 3 to 6 years.i don't even overclock my 4790k never seen the need to.

There is no point in going to a 980 from a 290x, it's a sidegrade, which means its a waste of money.

Yeah I was just taking the piss aye... I wouldn't bother go from a 290X to a 980, and especially not a 970 as they are on the same level FPS wise.

It's not cheap by any means, but that's because we use a lot. Especially when the weather is so warm now, everyone turns on their AC.

I haven't seen any Fury in SG. Probably $750~$800 seeing that the Fury X is $999. :B

290X is much weaker than 390X
