The asus strix actully fixes the issue with the gtx 970 you can see it hear on the box where it says 4gb

That review came months and months before that issue was known. 

 

Perhaps this forum is the one which has an issue with "misinformation."

I looked it up and yes you were right i was wrong the dates prove you right.

That was a bad example but he is spreading misinformation and i do it to but you pointed it out and i wont do it again.

You can say it is a rebrand, as it still uses GCN. So the technology is not new. And he didnt say it overclocked well, he said it might have overclocking headroom because of the liquid cooling. 

Releasing another card based on the same architectural design does not make it a rebrand. Particularly not when the GCN architecture itself has seen 2 updates since it's release in the form of GCN 1.1 and GCN 1.2.

i thought i read a article (actual good source) about they using a msi afterburner glitch to access it cause it was locked

but very well then i will edit my comment on youtube about that

If it were truly locked down, a glitch to unlock wouldn't work; a vBIOS mod would be required. You might be talking about the memory in this instance though.

I don't really see a need to make a thread about some other reviewer on the LTT forum. Especially without some kind of supportive data. I don't feel like sifting through ToT's videos in an attempt to find errors. Everybody makes them.

 

If you really think this is a cause for concern, you could post in the Off Topic section or something. But please write the OP in a more understandable way and support your claims. It would also be nice if it was less of an attack and more of a "Hey guys, I've noticed that ToT doesn't always get everything right. Just a heads up if you are using them for information about new products." And then point to some cases of this. It just has a better vibe to it.

Pretty much this. He thinks that the Fury X is a amped up 290X with HBM. That's at least what I got from watching the video.

You are right, i kinda threw this thread toghter too quickly i should have posted qoutes and links to his video.

It wasnt meant to be an attack in anyway but some anger slipt through and im sorry if anyone interperated this as a personal attack.
