GTX 980 SLI vs GTX 980Ti SLI @ 1440p would perform similar?

Well for 1440p a 980 SLi is more than enogh, I guess since games don't scale well the 980ti is kinda the same, but 1 980ti would be my prefererd choice

the games have a "max" framerate that the cards can push on them but at 4K the load is higher and the 980TI runns away with it, thats my explanation because 980TI's are the surperior cards

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
