I'm not going to overclock, what CPU cooler should I get?

I dont want the stock one because it wont match my black and white scheme, so something efficient

If you're formally an engineer, avoid responsibility. That's what senior engineers get paid for.

Paint the stock cooler?

actually, just remove the sticker and use a sleeve on the cables would do the job

I'd be surprised if they didnt...

Most websites can tell you if they are detailed enough.

Look at the webpage for your case and it should show the CPU cooler MAX height...possibly, well it should, googling may have a user-post somewhere that states this.

Same for cooler webpages, they should tell you the height too.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The Hyper 212 Evo does in my mid-tower, with a little clearance.
