People are going to hate me for saying this, but have a look at the Razer Ouroboros.

Different viewpoints should be welcome... hopefully.  Why do you like it?

G602 has decent polling and awesome battery life.  I like the 500 buttons and it looks cool too.  ;)

Omg O.o I'm excited. A normal person *-*

Most people would say I'm a fanboy, but I used Razer products for over 10 years now and I never got disappointed, but I'm only speaking about their mice and keyboards.

I like the overall design and the customizability. The mouse is already a bit on the older side as it was released in 2012 and back then it was the ultimate wireless gaming mouse and it's still great. I has a nice battery life, so depending on use you'll get 7-10 hours out of it and the battery is easily exchangeable and of course rechargeable.

I don't know which laser sensor they use, but for most people it doesn't even matter. I don't feel any difference between my over 10 yo Razer Diamondback which had a laser sensor and my newer Razer DeathAdder with an optical sensor. But I know that they work great.

Also the build quality is pretty awesome which is expected and Razer Synapse is a nice and easy tool to use.

The mouse even comes with a really handy stand which can also load your mouse. And even if it runs out of battery you can simply use the cable from the stand to directly plug it into your computer.

10000 €. I'll go and buy some TitanXs and then tell AMD users that they're all idiots how poor they're.   B)

I used to have that on a MS Sidewinder.

G602 - 250 hours on Performance Mode (500 Hz polling), 1400+ hour on Endurance Mode (125Hz).  .... just awesome.  No power cable to the PC though.

The Ouroboros has a 1000Hz polling rate. No wonder the battery life is so much shorter. Also why would I need such a long battery life if I can simply put it on the stand every night or at work. Of course 7-10 hours can be limiting to a lot of people, but then they simply shouldn't buy one. It all depends on the user.

Also I wonder how long the G602's battery will last. Logitech is known here in Germany for dead batterys after a year or two.

but ourobouros is the worst razer product by far at the moment. It has laser sensor, it has terrible battery life, it has LED's ON A WIRELESS MOUSE (wtF?), it costs like 3 good mice.

I have nothing against Deathadder, deathadder is good, so is Imperator, but ourobouros is disgusting.

Logitech is known here in the world as the best mice maker.

also 1000hz polling rate is just straight up stupid. human reaction time is 150-250ms and you think 1ms on mouse reaction makes a difference? it's not worth wasting battery for that.

AA batteries, replace them as you need.  I alternate 4 rechargeable ones.  I use one at a time to keep the mouse light.  I switch about 1 battery a week.  I play a lot of LoL on Perf. Mode.

if you used two it would last longer, more than twice as long. it's how batteries work for some reason.

Since when is a laser sensor a problem? Most mice have still a laser sensor and I've never seen anyone complain about it. You're literally the first person.

Terrible battery life? For a 3yo wireless mouse with a much higher polling rate than the G602? I think it's pretty good under those circumstances. Also you can upgrade the battery. Some people have done it already and got easily a full day out of it.

LEDs? Wow... You can turn them off in Razer Synapse...  <_<

Of course it is expensive, cause it is a Razer premium product. There aren't a lot made of those and the packaging, stand and build quality are outstanding.

At the time it was revolutionary.

If they would use two, the mouse would get pretty heavy. And then you would complain about that, too.

always. I have never seen a single laser mouse with a perfect sensor.

Polling rate is useless. Battery life is terrible.

Every Logitech product has premium build quality even if you don't pay millions for a mouse. My dad has 15 eur logitech mouse that is currently running a second year on a single set of batteries.

It's not the time anymore, G602 is better in every way.

  • Nothing is perfect on this world.
  • The Ouroboros has actually two sensors. One optical and on laser sensor.
  • How is the battery life terrible if I don't run out of energy? What you're saying makes no sense. I would even prefer to charge the mouse every night instead of charging it every month, because I'll most likely forget to charge it. Putting the mouse every night on its little station is so much easyier to remember.
  • In Linus' Ouroboros video he is actually complaining about Logitech's G7, especially about the battery...
  • The G602 wasn't made 3 years ago by a small company.

Before I even got my Razer Diamondback I was using so many Logitech mize because they all died within a year.

The Diamondback is still running like on its first day after 10 years and 2 months.

But at the end I don't care. You can use your Logitech mouse and buy a new one in 3 years. I'll still be rocking my DeathAdder in 30 years if USB is still a thing.

Since when does charging something every day make sense? Are you human? We are fighting for almost every device to finally get away from the stupid one day battery life and you think that a mouse with not even a full day of it is acceptable.

Yes Linus complained that G7 had bad batteries, because it used custom batteries. G602 uses AA batteries, problem solved. (not to mention g602 lasts two weeks over two days that g7 did)

Is Razer a small company?

And since when is Razer known for reliability, one person does not statistics make. Overall Razer is not a reliable brand and you can say whatever you want. Another person you recommend razer to might not get so lucky.

If you base it on Linus reviews.

I don't care much for battery life for a device that is sitting next to a power source all the time.

You said Logitech products are always premium products. Why aren't their custom batteries also premium products?

Razer is compared to Logitech a small company. They only exist since 1998. Logitech was at that time already 17 years on the market.

Since when is Logitech known for reliability? I had a G15. First the backlight didn't work properly after a few months and one year later it died completly. Didn't even got a replacement, because one guy from Logitech said I did brake it on purpose.

And then a friend of mine had a few (around 179238) problems with a Logitech joystick. And I shouldn't forget the three mice I tried by them, which all had problems or bad build quality. And all the Logitech mice, keyboards, webcams and headsets that we are getting back because of DOA at my job.

Apparently they aren't even able to count the number of keyboards I ordered. Got 20 instead of 10 for the price of 10. I shouldn't complain about it, but still stuff like that is annoying.

Then why would you need a wireless f-in mouse?

Their custom batteries worked fine, they just lasted a day or two and it's annoying to swap them constantly. ( and if you are on the go swaping aa's is much faster and doesn't need you to charge anything )

http://www.overclock.net/t/1486507/razer-ouroboros Overclocked.net forum user is reporting that laser sensor on ouroboros has negative acceleration, I obviously can't test it, but since it's laser it is quite likely. I certainly would have heard about a perfect laser sensor, ouroboros probably doesn't have one.

Companies is going off-topic. They are similar.

I don't need a wireless mouse. But people that simply don't want a cable running across their table or living room if they use a TV want them. Those are people that don't use their mouse more than a few hours anyway. But what they want is a mouse that is easily rechargeable, looks nice and something they can brag about.

That's what the Ouroboros does. That's what Apple does since I don't know how many years. And it works.

Professional players or just gamers that play a lot don't even want a wireless mouse. They want the best performance and they don't mind to do some cable management.

I've connected my mouse directly to my keyboard. It's practically like having a wireless mouse, cause the cable only needs to be a few inches long.

The Ouroboros can also last 3 days on one charge if you only use it 3 hours a day. But it takes only 3 seconds to put it on its charger which you can do while you're having a break.

______

So, now I've seen that Razer already has another wireless gaming mouse. The Orochi.

Achieve up to 30 hours of continuous gameplay, or 3 months of normal usage, twice of it’s predecessor.

And the new Razer Mamba has 20 hours of continous gameplay. It also comes with a charging dock just like the Ouroboros.

Didn't even know they existed. Well, then of course I would take one of those. :3
