Tomorrow.

I'm going to put a link to my PC specs which actually aren't my PC specs and I cry myself to sleep everyday so I can have these PC specs but I can't afford these PC specs so PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs.

Right now because im holding the CEO hostage.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

If I had to guess, I would guess exactly one year from today. That's not based on any tangible facts though.

I'm sure there are some psychic ppl on this forum.

 

I might return my 970 because the pascal GPUs look beast from what I have heard, and also 970 does not have enough vram for the stuff I play.

 

 

This is the history of nvidia releases :
 
580 -> 680 = Nov 2010 -> Mar 2012 = 16 months
680 -> 780 = Mar 2012 -> May 2013 = 14 months
780 -> 980 = May 2013 -> Sep 2014 = 16 months
 
780ti -> 980 = Nov 2013 -> Sept 2014 = 10 months
980ti June 2015
 
x80 to x80 average = 15 months
x80ti to x80 = 10 months
 
So that would mean a new 1080 between :
 
Mar 2016 and April 2016
 
 
For the last 3 generations you could predict the launch window within 1 or 2 months on a 14-16month turn around.  So its a pretty good guess.

I really wish Pascal was out and about.  I'm dying to upgrade from my gtx 670 SC 4gb edition, but every upgrade I make is for the very long haul.  So!  I guess I'll have to wait patiently for Pascal next year.....damn!!!  so hard to wait though.

you cant keep waiting all your life just get a 980Ti now and sell it when the new one come out...
