14" Razer Blade Unboxing.

Linus, I hope you read this. I'm writing this because there is no official thread about this.

 

I think the 14" Razer Blade unboxing was one of the best and most professional unboxings I've ever seen. You didn't only cover the packaging and what the unit looked like, you also covered what the unit felt like and how it operated. All of this in a very objective manner, showing both what you liked and what you did not like.

 

I, personally, enjoyed this unboxing/review a whole lot and hope that future unboxings will follow this example.

I prefer this type of unboxing as well. I prefer it when Linus also gives extensive thoughts, even if it isn't a full review. I don't like how recently Linus just unboxes things and barely gives any thoughts about it, as well as not making a follow up review or thoughts video.

 

Thoughts on the review? I actually like the screen on the Razer Blade 14. Really high res screens taxes the graphics card more, lowering frame rates, if I'm not mistaken- not to mention that high res screens and windows 8 doesn't really mesh right now. Honestly, I prefer a slightly less beautiful image in favor of better, consistent frame rates and lower power consumption.

I will admit, sometimes I think Linus is not %100 truthful about everything he reviews and makes videos of (Imeantherazorcommsthingwassopaidfor) but I thought the Blade was a very good review. I was impressed as well.

Thoughts on the review? I actually like the screen on the Razer Blade 14.

I'm more of a colour reproduction fan, so I prefer IPS panels over TN panels ;)

Definitely a good overview.  The close up shots weren't excessive like they've been (that's been my pet peeve regarding LTT vids as of late).

I hope he sees this too, that was a great unboxing and overview. It's videos like those that make me know he's fair. He made a great video where he said good and bad things about an item and backed up what he said.

 

But I'm a Linus fanboy so don't trust me, I like all his videos!

One thing i like about Linus is that he doesnt dwell on useless crap that comes with the products. Watch some newegg videos... some times they talk endlessly about worthless shyte like manuals and what not making the video longer than it has to be.

YEah, I meant professional in another way :p

I like this degree of professionalism: still relaxed and fun to watch, but at the same time giving all the info you need without it turning into a sales pitch.

Hmmm, I don't know. That chassis is expensive to make and you do get a lot of horse power in a small form factor.
