ram just suddenly stopped working?

it was perfectly fine yesterday, every single GB was working. but when I turned on my computer today it was slower than normal, so I checked the ram and only 1/2 of it was showing up. I tried switching the DIMM slots, didn't seem to help. Any solutions?

check each ram DIMM. It could be just a hiccup or it could be a failed DIMM stick or slot.

Memtest86+ can be used to test each stick.

Take out all but one stick, and try that one stick in all slots, one at a time. Then repeat with the rest of the sticks, one at a time.
